LifeStyle Magazine
Bernie told me that two of my photos are in lifestyle mag...sadly i dont get that mag thru the door :( she's gonna try get me a copy. She still wants to meet up, probably this tuesday in college and maybe we'll get on to talking about her studio...i wonder if she'll want me to work with her! She likes my work a lot and seems impressed...it'd be just the chance i'm looking for |

Ok now I'm royally pissed off
they've changed the fucking website recently, very recently infact on the carlett park thing which now means that although the guy originally told me at carlett i;'d have the choice of doing digital or traditional it now seems that its a different story. its now digital at 12 quays which was last night and traditional today and as an added bonus they've now decided to put up requirements for what you need for each course...why couldnt they have done that weeks ago. If i cant get on the digital course i'm fucked. I just don't know what to do anymore. this has now turned into a bad bad day :( Current Mood:  annoyed |

London Trip and a possible job
My 2 days away were really really good. When we arrived at Euston station my bad map showed it was practically a straight street but because of the bad print quality i couldnt see the road names so instead of a 10 minute walk it took an hour and that was based on kind londoners directing us! Hotel was really nice, we even had a fridge hurray! We walked to the theatre which was about 15 mins away just to make sure it was doable with taxis and then decided to go with the advice of a leaflet that had been handed to us and go to a small thai buffet restaurant. it was £6 all u can eat and the place was sooooo lovely and the staff were so cute. Food was amazing I'd always wanted to go to a thai restaurant and we were so impressed we went back the day after for a take out box for £3 lol. We went back to the hotel to get dressed and then went to the theatre. We were so close to the stage Orlando was literally a few metres away and me and pual are sure wen he stared out into the audience it was at us lol. The play was really funny at the begininng but got really dark toward the end. we were the first out of the theatre and already a huge crowd was waiting outside but sadly he didnt sign :( we assume it was either that the other acotrs would get pissed off at that attention (due to one of them being able to walk from the theatre with only a few whoops and cheers) whereas orlando has body guards and a car waiting. We think paul may have almost elbowed his mum in the face obviously by accident...whoops (that is if the woman next to me was right on her info that his mum was the one that walked past us and into the backstage door). We then walked home, not feeling the slightest bit scared of london streets as it was such a lovely area and out hotel was a street away from the british museum. So thats where we went the next day after our lovely breakfast in the tudor room of the hotel, and spent a few hours browsing egyptian section, greek, roman etc. then paul felt really ill so we went into the park opposite our hotel as it was the only place which felt like it has some fresh air. i went chasing semi-tame squirrals for photo reasons and we even fed one and people were smiling as they marched thru the park...obviously the londoners relaxing time in a park is also rushed and so seeing people feeding squirrels must be quaint. Went to the most amazing muffin shop which has rainbow coloured muffins in the window and had that after thai buffet in the park and went to the station for about 8pm. Kinda missing the park and the atmosphere of london...was only there a day really :( So today i went job hunting online, writing to newspaper photographer editors and the like, and then came across a job advertised for photographer assistant wanted in birkenhead or bromborough...to photo babies in mothercare and boots etc, so i've sent off my cv to the person so i hope to god they let me have a job in atleast one of the places...it'd mean they'd train me without having to fork out £300 for photo course but i'd need to know before next week weni enrole at carlett. hmmmmmmmmmm. fingers well and truly crossed. In other news nans in hospital again but its not too serious this time, she fell again but fractured her hip this time :( due to her osteoper...i cant spell, it means healing time will be a few months at the least due to the brittleness of bones and it will defo set her back with her confidence. going to see her again tonight! |

:( can't go to London because everything has gone again...hotel and therefore the night of the play. Can't go th week after coz thats when i start the photography course :( So the only belated birhtday thing that i was looking foward to is now not happening. ah well c'est la vie. |

Havn't really updated in a while
About a week ago I was walking down plymyard in the rain and I saw an old man walking towards me, the rain hit down harder so naturally my brolly went forwards to protect me, a few seconds later when i lifted my brolly back up the old man was on the floor so I ran like hell to him and he was just staring. I was like SHIT he hasnt just fallen over its like a stroke or summit. A young girl was nearby and i told her to stay with him while I dashed to get the Pharmacist Aj coz he'd probably know what to do. meanwhile she got on her phone to 999 (wish i'd took my phone that day). When i get back there's a few peopl there and his wife has coem out of the flat and is with him and quite calm at first and then his lips start to go blue. We're goin thru the instructions from the 999 line and the ambulance is 3 miles away, but every second feels like an eternity and this guy is now being sick. The poor girl on the phone has tears rolling down her cheeks and so with a weird sense of stranger confort i go and give her a hug and ask if she's ok and she's obviously shocked. then I notice his wife has no coat and a short sleeved top so I give her my coat and she was very grateful and then almost started to cry so i comforted her then. At this stage i'm feeling so helpless coz i have no idea what to do. luckily a young guy is with us who seems to know what he's doing and finally we hear a distant ambulance siren so i hav to go off and wave for it. They do CPR on site and I find out the young girl is going on the train, same as me so I said to her that I'd go with her to make sure she was ok. turns out she's a friend of my cousin and goes to wirral grammar which is a coincidense. She seems to calm down during the train journey (but i had a little teary moment when i rang home to tell mum to ring paul coz i was gonna be late. as soon as i said what had ahppened, the shock hit me and i was like aaaaah) Still havnt heard how he is, apart from they managed to resussitate him. Was very weird and i wish i'd been more helpful. In other news i sent in a fe photos to wirral globe online just to be displayed on their website but when i got home yesterday one of them had got in the actual paper. granted it's tiny but its on page 2, lol and has my name by it. Oh and 2 people from belly dancing want my photos that i took of them and this time its for money...wow my first payment! |

Please let me have the job, Please let me have the job
So my Parents were annoying me this morning and it was the usual "i'm only trying to guide you but you wont find the job your looking for"...
SO...I went online and lo and behold THE job I'd been looking for; The one in Chester!!!!! So i've just sent off my really good cover letter, my CV and I threw in a few sample pictures too! I hope to God I atleast get an interview...i'm so glad i actually found this because on the main VENTURE site the job for trainee photographer isnt listed in the chester branch! Thank god for the wirral globe online!
Is this a sign...was I meant to find it today?

I can't believe it...
I got a 2.1 in Egyptian Archaeology! I got back from greece today (i'll write an entry about the holiday when im not feeling so tired and shocked and totally weird lol) I turned my phone on and got a few texts from Uni friends, one from stef saying the results were on the uni board (2 days ago) and if we wanted her to get ours to ask...i texted her and she rang me back, i was so nervous, i wanted the results but also didnt. When she told me I instantly broke down in tears and mum was hugging me. All my friends got 2.1s and firsts and we all deserve it with all the effort we put in. get the actual grades on monday for each exam, but all that matters is I got my 2.1...what I aimed for, what i worked my ass off for! What an odd day, back from sunny gorgeous greece to england in a few hours and then to get this news...amazing day! Current Mood: ecstatic |
